A certificate on file is not the same thing as adequate coverage. Requirement templates define what "compliant" means for your organization, and Verifolio checks every verified certificate against them.
Requirement templates. Under Compliance you'll find requirement templates — named sets of coverage requirements, such as minimum general liability per occurrence, aggregate limits, workers' compensation, or an additional-insured endorsement naming your organization. Create different templates for different property types or risk levels (a roofer on a three-story building and a landscaper do not need the same limits).
How checking works. Once a certificate has been reviewed and confirmed, its coverage is compared against the applicable requirements. Vendors whose verified coverage falls short — or whose certificates have lapsed — surface on the compliance dashboard with a gap severity, so you can see at a glance not just who has paperwork on file, but who actually meets your standard.
A practical starting point. Many property managers require $1,000,000 general liability per occurrence and additional-insured status as a baseline; your insurance broker or attorney can advise the right limits for your portfolio. Set the template once and the checking is automatic from then on.
